What is Clinical Hypnotherapy?
Several common physical and psychological symptoms can be treated and often alleviated using clinical hypnosis.
High levels of stress and anxiety can be dramatically reduced because hypnosis allows you to experience considerably deep levels of relaxation.
I am not just a hypnotist; I am a Clinical Hypnotherapist which means that most importantly, you can rest assured that I am a a trained, licensed, and certified professional, and I am qualified to work on physical and psychological symptoms.
I am fascinated by the conscious and unconscious mind. It’s the main reason I have spent so many years studying personal development and in particular, the way we think, feel and behave.
Hypnosis occurs frequently, throughout the day, without you even being aware of it. It’s happening just as you wake up and when you float off to sleep. The lovely feelings of drifting into pleasant thoughts, like daydreaming and reverie, are also hypnoidal states.
People are often concerned that they will lose all self-control when in trance, usually because the only time they’ve witnessed hypnosis is the stage variety, however, I am not interested in theatrics but I am very interested in healing.
You and I will simply be having a conversation with part of your mind… your unconscious mind. To explain further, just like you automatically breathe in and out, there are also times when you take conscious breaths in and out, maybe hold your breath or take an even deeper breath, so you know that although most of the time, your body is taking care of breathing, you can sometimes bypass what happens automatically. That’s the best way of explaining how hypnosis works.
I incorporate stress and relaxation hypnosis into my coaching therapy and it really helps in getting control of unhelpful rumination and overthinking. I also work on stand-alone treatments such as:-
